Getting to the NIH Natcher Conference Center on the NIH Campus

Security Information

Important Notice: All visitor vehicles, including taxicabs, hotel, and airport shuttles, will be inspected before being allowed on the NIH campus. Visitors will be asked to show one form of identification (a Government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, green card, etc.) and to state the purpose of their visit. Be sure to allow extra time for this vehicle inspection procedure. Visit the NIH Campus Security Web site for up-to-date security information.

Metro

The NIH Campus is easily accessible by the Metro. The NIH sits on top of the Medical Center station of the Metro Red line. From the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, take the Metro Red line one stop from the Bethesda station to the Medical Center Station. From all other locations, use the WMATA Trip Planner. Be sure to allow yourself enough time to pass thru the NIH Campus Security. The Natcher Auditorium (Building 45) is a 5 minute walk from the Medical Center station or a short ride on the NIH Campus Limited Shuttle.

Driving Directions

Please note that all visitor vehicles will be inspected before being allowed on the NIH Campus. All visitors will be asked to show a Government-issued photo ID and state the purpose of their visit. Be sure to allow extra time for these security measures.

Keep in mind that on-campus Visitor Parking is very limited. An alternative to parking on the NIH Campus is to drive and park at other Metro stops on the Red line that have public parking and take the Metro to the Medical Center station.
